University of Leeds announce freshers week programme

Heading to the University of Leeds this September? This year's Welcome Week runs from Wednesday the 20th of September to Saturday the 30th of September 2023 with plenty of nights out and daytime activities to get settled into university life in Leeds.

Freshers week nights out event tickets are now available to purchase via Leeds University Union Nights Out on FIXR and include a range of events from UV raves and headphone discos to themed nights such as the Wizarding World Party.

An honourable mention is Fruity Fridays, LUU's famous Friday night at Stylus. Considered to be a rite of passage for Leeds students as the longest running student night, make sure you don't miss the first Fruity of the year on 22nd September. If you're a fan, they return again the following week to celebrate their 22nd birthday!

LUU's award-winning venue also hosts gigs and concerts including unforgettable bands and singers across the decades such as Bob Marley and The Killers. To keep up to date on these events you can follow Leeds Union Events on Instagram or FIXR.

Leeds University Union also hosts other Welcome Week events such as Speed Friending, Give it a Go session, mini golf and pet therapy.
