The best London freshers events 2023

As thousands of new university students head to the capital for the start of the new academic year, it's no surprise that there's a vast array of London freshers events taking place across freshers week 2023.

From 17th September to 3rd October, freshers parties are being held at some of the most iconic clubs in London - from Fabric to Phonox, XOYO to Ministry of Sound.

So whether you're heading to Imperial College, UCL, LSE, King's College, SOAS, Goldsmiths or one of the many other universities across the capital, check out our pick of the best London freshers week 2023 events.


PRYZM Kingston

For those heading to south west London, whether that's Kingston University, Roehampton, St Mary's Twickenham or anywhere else for that matter, longstanding favourite PRYZM has a packed programme of freshers events - from Songer and Hardy Caprio shows and LYFECODE Saturdays, to special UV paint, foam and pyjama parties.

With a This Is Freshers 2023 wristband you get free entry to all these events and over 100 events in total during the year.

Ministry of Sound

From the capital's biggest freshers moving-in party The Icebreaker to a lineup of UK rap royalty at Take Off UK's Freshers Rave, Yung Filly's YEAHHH MAN Party to DnB stars at Fuzion, the legendary South London venue has got freshers well and truly covered.

Fabric

Another iconic London nightclub, another selection of freshers parties to kick off the uni year in style, featuring an Ibiza White Party and UV Laser Freshers Rave. Normally a 19+ venue, this a rare early opportunity to visit an institution of the capital's clubbing landscape.

E1 LDN

Set in East London's docklands, E1 has become an established favourite since opening its doors in 2017. Two years after that, The Freshers Warehouse Rave was born, and it has since grown in size to fill the epic industrial venue.

XOYO

This beloved Shoreditch nightclub regular hosts student nights on weekdays throughout the year, and freshers week is no different - from longstanding Tuesday night favourite Sneak to a one-off Taylor Swift vs Harry Styles event.

Studio 338

Known for its Ibiza-style terrace and glass-roofed dancefloor, Studio 338 was named in DJ Mag's 50 Best Clubs in the World last year. For The Freshers Week House Party, it's transformed into a genre-spanning, fun-filled bonanza, complete with inflatables, bucking rodeo bull, beer pong, party games and more.

Fire & Lightbox

Head to these famous twin venues at the start of the new term and you'll find a huge 6-room party to kick things off, a freshers week classic in the Epic Foam Rave, and a massive closing party as the freshers madness comes to an end.

Phonox

Known by Londoners as spot for the hottest underground electronic music talent, freshers week sees Brixton venue Phonox switching things up with a selection of hip hop, trap, grime, drill and bass music for the new students in town at Secret Society.

Prince of Wales Brixton

Another iconic Brixton venue, The Prince of Wales (aka POW BRXTN) is opening up its famous terrace for a couple of midweek rooftop parties compete with street food, giant games, inflatables, free glitter face painting and giveaways across the night.
