We surveyed 5,000 event organisers and ticket buyers, across late December. Respondents were invited to look back over their year in events, reflecting on their habits, what impressed them, what they value as attendees or organisers of events, and what they think 2024 will bring.
Some significant trends emerged, with an encouraging sense of optimism, with 86% of ticket buyers planning to go out more this year than last and 88% of event organisers running more events in 2024 than in 2023.
We also looked at Gen-Z ticket buying behaviours, exploring increased demands for flexibility, how the post-lockdown trend for late booking is evolving, and how event organisers can best engage the newest generation of event attendees.
