What's New: Scheduled Ticket Delivery
Whether you're running a music festival, high-demand event or simply want greater control over how tickets are distributed, releasing tickets weeks or months in advance can create unnecessary risk.
That's why we've introduced scheduled ticket delivery.
This feature allows you to delay the release of ticket PDFs and QR codes until a specific time before your event begins, helping you maintain greater control over ticket distribution while still delivering a seamless experience for attendees.
Why we've built it
Traditionally, digital tickets are delivered immediately after purchase. While convenient, this means tickets can begin circulating long before the event itself.
For some organisers, particularly those running large-scale events, premium experiences, or events vulnerable to unofficial resale, this can present challenges.
Scheduled ticket delivery gives organisers a simple way to decide exactly when attendees gain access to their tickets.
Attendees still receive an immediate booking confirmation, but their ticket PDF and QR code remain securely locked until the release date you've chosen.
How it works
When creating or editing an event, organisers can enable scheduled ticket delivery and choose a release window based on a specific number of days or hours before the event starts.
Until that time, ticket PDFs are not included in confirmation emails, QR codes remain hidden in the FIXR app and website, and attendees are shown a clear countdown indicating when their tickets will become available.
Once the release time is reached, FIXR automatically delivers tickets to all attendees. No manual action is required.
Simple to set up, easy to manage
Scheduled ticket delivery only affects when tickets become available to attendees.
Behind the scenes:
- Booking confirmations continue to be sent as normal.
- Attendee exports continue to work as normal.
- QR code references remain available immediately for integrations and operational workflows.
- Organisers can continue managing orders and attendees
This means you can introduce delayed ticket delivery without impacting reporting, data exports, or third-party systems.
More control for event organisers
Scheduled ticket delivery is another move to give organisers greater control over managing tickets, attendee experiences, and event security.
Whether you're looking to reduce unofficial resale, minimise the risk of fraud, or simply decide when tickets are distributed, this feature gives you the flexibility to do so directly within FIXR.
Scheduled ticket delivery will be available in the 'Advanced Settings' section when you create or edit your event. More information about the technical setup is available on our Help Centre.
